WGU Missouri, in cooperation with City Year, is proud to offer special benefits for City Year alumni.

Partnership Benefits for City Year Alumni

City Year
  • 5% discount towards any undergraduate or graduate degree program for all admitted City Year corps, alumni or staff members per year. Discount applied per term for up to 4 terms.
  • Eligibility to apply for the City Year Scholarship Program, valued up to $2,500.
  • Application Fee Waiver (a $65 value) for members enrolled in a graduate program.

City Year alumni verification: To become eligible for the application fee waiver, the tuition discount and to be considered for a scholarship, a service verification letter must be requested by emailing: alumni@cityyear.org with "WGU" in the subject line. Please include the site where you served and your corps graduation month and year. This letter will be sent electronically by City Year to the WGU Discount Office and added to your applicant file.
When completing the online admissions application, please communicate with your enrollment counselor that you are affiliated with City Year.

*Eligible members of the City Year community are currently serving AmeriCorps members, alumni who completed at least one year of service and staff members who have been employed for at least two years.
