What You'll Learn
Essential Knowledge and Skills
We developed our online physics education program with significant input from experts and educational leaders who serve on our Education Program Council. You’ll become an expert in all areas of study required to earn your Master of Arts in Science Education, Physics. The program requires a total of 31 competency units (CUs), our equivalent to the traditional credit hour. The M.A. in Science Education (Physics, 5-12) is nationally recognized by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA).

Home Science Lab
This program also includes a home science lab. The self-contained laboratory kit includes the lab manual, science equipment, specimens, supplies, and chemicals necessary to complete college lab experiments at home.
Teacher Performance Assessment
This master's degree program culminates with a Teacher Performance Assessment, which contains a comprehensive, original, research-based curriculum unit designed to meet an identified educational need. It provides direct evidence of the student's ability to design and implement a multi-week, standards-based unit of instruction, assess student learning, and then reflect on the learning process.
