WGU Missouri is proud to extend these benefits to Missouri Community College Association (MCCA) community college graduates and employees:
As an online, nonprofit, competency-based university, WGU Missouri offers regionally accredited degree programs in business, information technology, teacher education, and health professions (including nursing).
Through Western Governors University, WGU Missouri’s nursing degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, 202-887-6791). An autonomous accrediting agency supported by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), CCNE’s mission is to ensure the quality and integrity of U.S. baccalaureate and graduate degree programs that educate nurses. CCNE is one of two national nursing accrediting bodies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
WGU’s Health Informatics program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
The WGU Teachers College received unconditional accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). WGU is the first exclusively online university to receive NCATE accreditation for its degree programs that lead to teacher licensure.
Out of 2,400 programs nationwide, the National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) recently ranked WGU’s secondary math education program was ranked #1 in the nation and WGU’s elementary education program #16.
WGU Missouri is a nonprofit online university. What does this mean for you? Very affordable tuition. In fact, WGU Missouri is half the cost of other online universities.
While our low, flat-rate tuition is designed to make a college degree affordable, there are times responsible borrowing is still a good choice. WGU Missouri is approved to offer federal financial aid to those who qualify.
WGU Missouri also maintains a robust scholarship program through the generosity of corporations, foundations, and special government appropriations. Visit the scholarship page to see a current list of open scholarships.
WGU Missouri’s rigorous, competency-based approach is ideally suited to self-directed learners ready to earn a degree and advance their career.
